What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
By far my favorite class I’ve taken so far at SCU is Music in American Cultures.  I love music, and the class really goes in depth, not just in listening to the music, but in understanding its origins and roots.  It’s the one class I don’t mind having homework in.

What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
My favorite activity at SCU would probably be intramural sports.  It’s really fun to get on the field with some friends and run around for an hour or two.  It gives me a chance to take a break from the competitiveness of crew.

What advice would you give to the Class of 2013?
Get out and make your own experience of college.  Opportunities don’t just fall into your lap, you have to go out and find them.  Santa Clara has a ton of activities that give you a chance to experience things that probably weren’t possible in high school, from scuba diving to rock climbing to building a solar house.  It’s up to you to take the initiative and get involved, and in the process you may end up meeting people that will become your best friends over the next four years.

Why do you love SCU?
I love SCU because it is a great place to find yourself.  It gives you the opportunity to explore all your interests and to find out really who you are and what you want to do.  The school is there to help you every step of the way and to guide you through your college journey.  The beautiful campus and the awesome people come together to make Santa Clara a great place to experience college and transition into the real world.
