What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
My favorite class at SCU thus far has been my second religion class, Religion in America.  Many don’t know what to expect about the religious class requirements here at SCU but it definitely is a worth-while experience.  I have learned many things that I never even imagined about my religion and other religions as well.  And although it was a challenging class, the professor made lecture entertaining and exposed the material in a very interesting way.  I also feel like I gained a sense of knowledge and openness that allows me to be more understanding of people’s traditions, cultures and beliefs while at the same time affirming my own.

What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
My favorite activity to do here at SCU is participate in intramural soccer.  It is a great opportunity to meet new people, make friends, exercise and at the same time play a sport that I am very passionate about.  Not only that but I also have the opportunity to learn new things and try some of the other different intramural sports.  I personally like to be athletic and I enjoy meeting new people so participating in intramural sports is the perfect activity to do both.  Don’t let the title intramural fool you though, there are a lot of really good soccer players and winning that championship t-shirt won’t be easy.

What advice would you give to the Class of 2013?
Class of 2013 my advice to you is to be open.  You are beginning a whole new experience here in college and the best thing you can do is try new things, meet new people, give it your all in classes, build life-long friendships, make a difference, and most of all walk out with many unforgettable memories.  Don’t hesitate and just have fun with it, these are four years that will go by too fast.

Why do you love SCU?
I love SCU for many reasons: the weather, the people, even classes are nice and small; also because I have had the opportunity to try new things here at SCU, such as joining the boxing club.  I have been able to meet many cool people in classes—that includes many professors, student clubs and organizations, and social events. I have had the opportunity not only to learn new things but excel in them, things that I would have never tried if it weren’t for the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that SCU provides.  Here at SCU I have made friendships that I hope will last all my life and best of all I have countless unforgettable memories of this place.
