What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
Intro to African American Studies: This course gave me new insights about issues regarding race, ethnicity, and identity. Dr. Robin Hayes is a knowledgeable and fascinating professor who inspires me to voice my opinion and challenge existing injustices in the world.
What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
I enjoy cheering at Bronco Basketball games and hanging out with friends.
What advice would you give to the Class of 2013?
Organize your schedule by alotting specific amounts of time for your everyday activities. Having an organized schedule helps make sure that you're not supposed to be in more than one place at the same time! On another note, don't be afraid to step out of your "comfort zone." Join groups, participate in activities, and even take courses that you might not usually choose. You never know what kinds of experiences you'll have or interesting people you'll meet!
Why do you love SCU?
I love SCU because I instantly felt embraced by the community. I have met so many wonderful people here from students to faculty & staff. There are many resources on campus and opportunities for success. All students are truly valued here.
