What has been your favorite class at SCU and why?
So far, my favorite class at SCU was The Christian Tradition with Father McCarthy. The material we covered was fascinating, and it was great to be able to learn so much about the history of my faith. Even though the class was very challenging, Father McCarthy was an incredible professor who kept the class both interesting and entertaining.
What is your favorite activity to do at SCU?
One of my favorite activities is hanging out in the Bronco. I love spending time with my friends while we enjoy late night mozzarella sticks and strawberry lemonades. Dancing at Club Bronco is always fun too. As far as my involvement, I think my favorite activities are Wonderfully Made and CORE Christian Fellowship. They are incredibly fun communities of amazing people who have helped me to grow in my faith this year.
What advice would you give to the Class of 2013?
The first few weeks of your fall quarter will be SO much fun. Take advantage of the fact that everyone is in the same situation as you, and introduce yourself to everyone. Push yourself to join clubs and get involved in activities so you can meet people with similar interests. Don’t be intimidated by “college life,” embrace it and make the most of it!
Why do you love SCU?
There are so many things I love about Santa Clara! For one I love the size of our school. I see just the right balance of familiar and new faces every day. Classes are more intimate, and it’s great to be able to have a relationship with my professors. I also love the energy of the campus, and how everyone here is so friendly and approachable. The beautiful weather and ideal location are also great things about SCU. Santa Clara has other great things to offer such as a wide variety of opportunities to get involved.
