The mission of the Department of Physics at Santa Clara University is to offer our students a science education in the true liberal arts tradition: a strong, challenging curriculum taught in small classes by committed faculty. 
Students find a home here in physics; it is a place where faculty are accessible and interested, and where groups of students regularly work and relax together.
