Call for Applications for the Position of PresidentThe Board of Trustees of Santa Clara University invites nominations and applications for the position of President of Santa Clara University. The successful candidate will be a Jesuit priest who exercises the vision, leadership, management skills, and commitment to engage the faculty, staff, students, alumni, benefactors, friends, and board members in raising the quality and national reputation of the University by providing a high quality integrated education to its diverse 4,800 undergraduate and 3,500 graduate students. Santa Clara is a Catholic, Jesuit university with a 157-year tradition of preparing the critical-thinking, ethical, whole person for a life of citizenship and leadership. This diverse community of scholars is dedicated to educating students of competence, conscience and compassion, who, with knowledge and virtue, will construct a more humane, sustainable, and just society. The Board is seeking candidates who possess a commitment to understanding the history and culture of Santa Clara and advancing its vision, mission, and values as a Catholic, Jesuit university.
