Work Experience

Mitch Grieb is the Senior Administrative Assistant for the Department of Art and Art History. She comes with over 20 years of University experience. Mitch was first hired as a Data Entry Clerk in the Registrar's Office in 1989. After more than 11 years she transferred to Information Technology to write PeopleSoft system training documentation. She then worked in the College of Arts & Sciences Dean's Office for 8 years before moving on to the College of Education and Counseling Psychology where she worked part-time in Graduate Services for a year. Mitch took a break for two years and upon returning to campus she worked as a temp for 8 months in the Retail Management Institute in the Leavey School of Business. She has been with the Department of Art & Art History since August 2012.


Born and raised in Hawaii, Mitch grew up with a very large family. Today she lives in Willow Glen and her family has since grown. She now has two sons and a daughter, 2 sisters, 4 brothers, 10 nieces, 7 nephews, 2 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews, and 2 grand-daughters. Mitch loves spending time with her family, but in her spare time she enjoys the outdoors and her favorite hobby at home is arts and crafts.
