Santa Clara University will host a diversity leadership conference - (De)constructing Diversity in the Bay Area - with San Jose State University, Stanford University and De Anza College in Saturday, 4/30/11. With support from the Council on Inclusive Excellence, the conference will be funded by the Office for Multicultural Learning through a grant from the Google Foundation. The Council on Inclusive Excellence charged the Advisory Committee for Co-Curricular Diversity Programs with developing a campus-wide programming theme for 2010-2012. The choice is Legacies, which signifies what we inherit and what we leave behind. It lends itself to exploring the legacies of past oppression, struggle, and successes while asking us to consider what we will choose to create and leave behind for future generations.
