Diversity Training and Experiences

Diversity experiences are necessary to foster a climate of understanding and inclusivity among members of the campus community. We use the term "diversity experiences" instead of "diversity training" to describe some campus offerings because we believe that fostering an inclusive campus climate requires time and is based on an individual's reflection and development, i.e., her or his personal experiences. Regularly-scheduled workshops and training are provided through Human Resources and The Office of Affirmative Action. SCU staff, students, and faculty also have access to many other campus resources that can broaden their experiences with diversity and inclusive excellence issues.
