Mentors / Mentoring Teams
The Faculty Development Program offers several types of mentoring for tenure track faculty. Please contact us to arrange mentoring groups or partnerships.
- Mentoring Groups: An interdisciplinary group of faculty, led by two senior faculty members, will gather monthly for discussions of teaching, research, and professional development.
- Mentoring Parnerships: A tenured member of the faculty from a related discipline will serve as mentor for tenure track faculty. The partners will meet regularly for consultations.
- Departmental Mentors: We also encourage department chairs to arrange departmental mentors for tenure track faculty. Departmental mentors provide important perspectives on practices and expectations within the department and the discipline.
