Child Care

Kids on Campus

Kids on Campus is a self-funded, nonprofit, parent-participation preschool and childcare center at Santa Clara University. It serves children whose parents are SCU faculty, staff, students, or alumni. The infant room is a full-time-only program for ages six weeks to two years, and the preschool program is for children from two to six years of age. For more information, contact Kids on Campus at 408-554-4771

caredotcom

Care.com provides a web-based resource to connect individual faculty and staff with vetted babysitters, nannies, elder care providers, and pet sitters. The service enables individuals to search nationally to find and select the best care possible based on detailed profiles, background checks, and references of over one million care providers.

You can even use “College Caregivers” to find care providers who attend Santa Clara or “Care on Call” to find short-term back-up care.

Access to Care.com is free for all faculty and staff. Visit www.care.com/group/scu to register. Be sure to use your @scu.edu email address when registering. If you have questions, contact Ed Ryan or Caroline Zelaya.

Santa Clara University has contracted with Care.com to provide this service as part of a pilot program. Santa Clara University does not take part in the interaction between care seekers and care providers and does not have control over the quality, timing, legality or any other aspect whatsoever of the services actually delivered by the care providers. Santa Clara encourages all care seekers to carefully screen and interview prospective care providers.
