Fall 2007

  • Core Curriculum Implementation Team (CCIT) announces Faculty Core Committees (FCC) for each area of the Core (70 participants)
  • CCIT invites applications for Curriculum Development funding

Winter-Spring 2008

  • Committees develop Student Learning Objectives for each area
  • CCIT and FCCs work with recipients of Curriculum Development funding
  • CCIT consults with departments to ensure smooth transition to new core
  • March 14
    • Honorarium Proposals due for Curriculum Transformation and Develpment
  • May 14, 2008
    • Honorarium Proposals due for Curriculum Transformation and Development
    • Pathways Facilitator's honoraria proposals due

Summer 2008

  • Curriculum Development Workshops Workshops (60+ participants)
  • June 30, 2008
    • Core Syllabi and Syllabus Approval Forms due for faculty teaching Pilot courses in 2008-2009

Fall 2008

  • Launch of pilot Cultures & Ideas courses and Critical Thinking & Writing courses for 2008-2009 Academic Year
  • October 15, 2008
    • Core Syllabi and Syllabus Approval forms due for courses to be taught in 2009-2010 (to meet Undergraduate Bulletin deadline)
    • Pathways Facilitators' Honoraria Proposals due
    • Pathways Proposals due
  • December 2008
    • Undergraduate Bulletin due

Winter 2009

  • Continuation of pilot Cultures & Ideas courses and Critical Thinking & Writing courses for 2008-2009 Academic Year
  • January 30, 2009
    • Course Syllabi and Syllabus Approval forms due for courses to be taught in 2009-2010
    • Pathways Facilitators' Honoraria Proposals due
    • Pathways Proposals due
  • January 2009
    • Drahmann Advising Center trains advisors on new Core curriculum

Spring 2009

  • March-May 2009
    • Assess pilot Cultures & Ideas and Critical Thinking & Writing courses
  • April 30, 2009
    • Core Syllabi and Syllabus Approval Forms due for courses to be taught in 2010-2011
    • Pathways Facilitators' Honoraria Proposals due
    • Pathways Proposals due

Summer 2009

  • Run Curriculum Development Workshops
  • New students register for Foundations courses in Summer Orientation

Fall 2009

  • Launch Foundations courses for all first year students
  • Launch approved Explorations and Integrations courses (courses will fulfill both old and new Core requirements)
  • Additional proposals for Core honoraria and Workshops due

Winter-Spring 2010

  • Continue Curriculum Development

Summer 2010

  • Run Curriculum Development Workshops, especially for Explorations and Integrations Courses

Fall 2012

  • Retire old Core
