Personal Bio

I'm an English/Math double major and will be a senior in the 09-10 school year. I've been a math major since I learned long-division, but the English major is a more recent thing. I came to it through some really great teachers at DeAnza--where I transferred from--and my love for literature has been perpetuated here at Santa Clara. I'm actively involved in writing center affairs and hope to be working with writing center research in the coming years, integrating my logical/analytical side with my love of writing and teaching.

I've taken more science classes than I care to count at this point, so I specialize in technical and analytical writing. I'm currently working as a teaching assistant in the psychology department under Dr. Burger. I believe that peer tutoring is one of the quickest ways to grow as a writer and I have a special interest in ESL tutoring techniques, though I only speak one language (i.e., I'm an American). Let me teach you grammar while you're becoming a stronger writer and thinker, you won't even notice the grammar bit.
