This week my team and I went to El Rancho Nuevo to meet with Yacanex and the owner of the business, Blanca. Upon arrival, my team and I were surprised to find an Ice Cream shop within the store. The store predominantly sales clothing apparel and accessories, which is why we did not expect to see ice cream within the store. We walked around to see the layout of the store and see the variety of merchandise El Rancho Nuevo has. We finally spoke with Yacanex and went over his expectations for us as well as the overall process and steps for this project.

Once Blanca was done working with a customer, she approached us. Blanca was very welcoming and seemed eager to find ways to improve her business. She talked about some of the challenges she is currently facing and some of the goals she has for us.  We asked her a few questions to get a better sense of her business and the back-end operations. She did not have any reservations and was very willing to cooperate in any way she could. She also offered us some of her delicious homemade ice cream. I definitely recommend trying it out. Needless to say, this is going to work out great for all parties involved.

On the drive back, my team and I came up with a couple of great ideas to improve El Rancho Nuevo. We are very excited about this project and cannot wait to see how far we go with it. This weekend we will meet up and create a proposal of our ideas for Blanca.
