Dr. Dale Larson and Dr. Jerry Shapiro Elected As Fellows

Here is a current update on Dr. Dale Larson:

Publications

Dr. Larson co-authored with William T. Hoyt (2008). A realistic approach to drawing conclusions from the scientific literature: Response to Bonanno and Lilienfeld (2007).  Professional Psychology: Research and Practice, 39, 378-379. 

Presentation

Dale was the symposium chair for “ A New Look at Grief: Evidence on Process and Treatment Outcome” with William T. Hoyt, U. Wisconsin-Madison, George Bonanno, Teachers College, Columbia University, and Stephen Connor, National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization,  at the 2008 American Psychological Association Convention, Boston, MA, 8/16/08.

Honor
Elected to Fellow status, American Psychological Association, Division 17, Counseling Psychology, August 16, 2008.  The American Psychological Association describes Fellow status as “an honor bestowed upon APA Members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology” and whose work “has had a national impact on the field of psychology.”  

 

Here is the current update on Jerry Shapiro.

 Jerry Shapiro along with  Dr. Michael J. Diamond, presented a workshop called  “New Clinical Perspectives on Men, Fathers and Fathering.” at the (2008) Annual Convention of the  American Psychological Association Convention, Boston, MA.

Honor:
Dr. Jerry Shapiro was elected to Fellow status, American Psychological Association, Division 43, Family Psychology, August 16, 2008.  The American Psychological Association describes Fellow status as “an honor bestowed upon APA Members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology” and whose work “has had a national impact on the field of psychology.”

Dr. Shapiro presented: “ Reactive Depression in Post-Midlife Men” as part of the symposium,  Men and Depression. at the (2008) Annual Convention of the  American Psychological Association Convention, Boston, MA, 8/15/08.
