Technology, Justice, and the Good Life

As part of the Society for Philosophy and Technology 2011 conference, Center Scholar Shannon Vallor will co-chair a conference track on "Technology, Justice, and the Good Life."
The society has issues a call for papers for the event, to be held at University of North Texas, May 26-29, 2011. This is a highly interdisciplinary conference that encourages submissions not just from philosophers but also from engineers, natural and social scientists, historians, and policymakers. The conference theme is "Technology and Security," but there are 16 distinct conference tracks covering a broad range of subject areas.
Vallor is an assistant professor of philosophy at SCU. Her main areas of research and teaching are phenomenology, philosophy of science and technology, and philosophy of mind.
