At the CenterData Mining and PrivacyWednesday, Sep. 22, 2010How much should we worry about being tracked online? Eric Goldman, director of the High Tech Law Institute at SCU, argues that tracking is one step in a multi-step process that may lead to something bad, but that in and of itself, there is no significant harm in tracking. The debate, he argued in a discussion with the Center's Emerging Issues Group, should focus on how the data is used. Goldman, associate professor of law at SCU, is the author of a popular blog on Technology and Marketing Law.
