Web Publishing ServicesWeb Publishing NewsThumbnail images in homepage blog elementMonday, Apr. 21, 2008The blog element has been updated to allow home page news & events posts to display two images; a thumbnail image, optimized for the 65px x 45px dimensions allowed in the homepage news & events element, and a full size image for the full display of the blog post. To include a thumbnail image, upload it to the Commonspot Image Gallery, following the instructions on the Blog authoring page. The thumbnail image will be assigned the blog item ID as a keyword, followed by "tn". For example, a blog post with the ID "12345" that includes a thumbnail image and a full size image would have two images uploaded, one with the keyword "12345" (full size) and one with the keyword "12345tn" for the thumbnail version. The homepage element will display the thumbnail image if available, and will otherwise display the full size image resized to 65px x 45px. The image displayed below has a companion thumbnail-sized image that would be displayed in its place in the homepage news & events element.
