Fitness

fitkickCampus Recreation offers 30 - 40 fitness classes per week during the academic quarter. During the summer, Campus Recreation offers 10-14 fitness classes per week in three sessions. Fitness classes available range form cardio classes such as Cardio Athletic Kickboxing or Zumba to mind, body, spirit classes like Vinyasa Flow or Yopi mix. 

All participants can attend fitness classes for free during Preview Week which is the first week of each academic quarter. 

Starting the second week of the academic quarter, all participants will need a pass to attend a fitness class. Classes will run from the second Monday to the Sunday before finals (nine weeks of classes). There will be no scheduled classes during finals week, but look out for free yoga or express classes.

SCU is Fit!

According to a survey conducted by Men’s Fitness Magazine, Santa Clara University was named one of the “Fittest Colleges in America.” In the October 2006 issue of the magazine, SCU was ranked No. 16 on the magazine's “fit list,” which included 25 of the fittest colleges and universities in the country. Other California schools included: UC Santa Cruz (13) and California Institute of Technology (20).
