| *Pentecost Performance and Talk Back Alpha residents were invited to attend the production of "Pentecost" for free. A talk back with the director and some of the actors was held immediately following the performance. |

| *ALPHA/MP Tijuana Immersion Trip Students from the Alpha and Modern Perspectives RLCs traveled to Tijuana, Mexico to work in the community and participate in a variety of educational and cultural exchanges. There also had many opportunities, both formal and informal, to interact with community members. |

| *Meet the Alpha Staff Progressive Students visit the room of each Alpha staff member for free food and conversation. |
| *Faculty Event: Shave N’ Style Night Former Faculty Directors Bill Greenwalt (Alpha) and Phil Keston (da Vinci) challenged their communities to raise money for Tsunami Relief. Floors that raised the most money were given the opportunity to choose how Dr. Greenwalt’s hair was cut and styled and how Dr. Keston’s beard was shaved. Over $1200 was raised. |
| *ALPHA Series of Poker Tournament Poker tournament for ALPHA residents. Top five winners received prizes. |
| *Beer Goggle Olympics Alpha residents had an opportunity to see just how much alcohol impacts ability by participating in a Beer Goggle Obstacle Course. Peer Health Educators were on hand to provide valuable information. There was also a rootbeer keg and ice cream for rootbeer floats. |
| *Mr. ALPHA The 3rd Annual Mr. Alpha competition featured 8 men from the Alpha community competing in a variety of events, including a group dance, costume walk-off, talent competition, and interview. |
| Urban Plunge/Community Based Learning Course Twenty-two Alpha students and staff participated in an overnight immersion experience in downtown San Jose. Participants learned about various organizations, schools and services in San Jose and stayed the night in a homeless shelter. In conjunction with the Urban Plunge, students selected an Arrupe Placement where they volunteered for at least 2 hours a week and attended a class, facilitated by Chris Boscia and Bill Greenwalt, every other week. The participants will continue in the Arrupe Placement and class for three quarters. |
