The annual RMI Christmas Gift Giving event took place on November 27, 2000. RMI members were asked to bring in toys worth $10 to be wrapped and distributed to needy children. In addition to the toys that each member brought, RMI provided $300 worth of additional gifts. All of these gifts were wrapped by RMI members and donated to Sacred Heart Community Center.
This event was held during dead week and gave students the chance to take a break from studying for finals while enjoying good food and great company. The enthusiasm that RMI members showed made this year’s event a success. “I am happy that I had the opportunity to make a difference and participate in the season of giving. This event is the perfect way for students to take a little time out of their busy schedules and support the needy families of Santa Clara County,” said RMI student Megan.
