The Harry and David Headquarters located in Medford, Oregon is where Lyndsay worked directly under the buyer for fruit and received great exposure to other departments in corporate management.

Over the summer, I had the privilege of working for Bear Creek, which is located in Southern Oregon. This particular internship program exposed me not only to a great corporate experience, but also to the unique culture of my surroundings: river-rafting on the Rouge River, a Shakespeare Festival, and fun events to better acquaint us with the other interns from all over the country.
My experience with the corporate side of Bear Creek was more that I could have asked for. I was assigned to work in the Merchandising department for their major catalog, Harry & David. Although I worked directly under the buyer for fruit, I was also exposed to many different facets of the company.
My primary focus was to extensively research their top fruit club and develop areas of improvement. This entailed gathering data from all departments, where I received great exposure to other departments in corporate management. My research concluded with constructing a qualitative survey with the Marketing Research team. The results of the survey will be later used for focus groups.
Through my findings from the success of this club, I was given the opportunity to develop a new club; a club where parents could send a care package to their kids in college. Working with Product Development and the Engineers, I was able to create a six-month club with two new items of my own. These are just a few examples of the many jobs for which I was accountable for.
Bear Creek is a successful and quickly growing company, with great potential to continue on that upward cycle. Not only did I get first hand experience into corporate retail, but I also met great people and experienced wonderful, new surroundings
