Adopting a Family Gives Back in the Christmas Spirit
This December, in the RMI Christmas spirit of giving, we adopted two families in need. One family had a mother with two sons; the other family had a grandmother, mother, and baby daughter. The families gave us their wish lists and we went off to Target to buy the gifts they wanted.
We bought Transformer toys for the boys and a sweater set and haircut for the mom in the first family. The grandmother and mother in the second family both wanted new tennis shoes, and the baby needed a bouncy crib. Once everything was purchased, we involved the whole RMI group by wrapping presents together. The Christmas music was playing and the RMI elves wrapped, ate, and mingled. The gifts were dropped off to the company that connected us to the families, Eastfield Ming Quong, and were delivered the day before Christmas. Adopt-a-Family was the perfect way to give back to our community and involve the whole organization with a fun holiday event!
