Symposium 2007
International Law Weekend - West
Santa Clara University School of Law and the American Branch of the International
Law Association hosted International Law Weekend-West this year on February 2 and 3, 2007.
The two-day event brought together legal practitioners and academics to discuss prominent
issues in international and comparative law and the impact of globalization on the
practice of law.
Panels included the following: Recent developments in CAFTA; Law,
Society & Geography; The Impending Extraordinary Chambers of
Cambodia to Prosecute the Khmer Rouge; Protecting Intellectual
Property Abroad; The Justice Cascade in Latin America; Cybercrimes
and the Domestication of International Criminal Law; Climate
Change Litigation; The Future of Democracy Promotion After Iraq;
International Privacy Law; Trying Enemy Combatants; The Future of
Cultural Property;and International Corruption.
The papers and proceedings will be published in the Santa Clara Journal of International Law.
