Rodney D. Smith '75 is senior VP of Business & Financial Planning at Sage North America.

Bill Krause '75 has published his first book, Federico Moreno Torroba, A Musical Life in Three Acts (Oxford University Press, 2013), with co-author Walter Clark. Since leaving Santa Clara, he earned his M.M. from University of Southern California and Ph.D. from Washington University, St. Louis. He currently serves on the faculty of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.

Richard DuBois J.D. ’75 was appointed to a judgeship in San Mateo County Superior Court by Gov. Jerry Brown ’59. DuBois has served as a family law commissioner for the San Mateo County Superior Court since 2002. He was a partner at DuBois and Kelly from 1983 to 2002 and a partner at Nudelman and DuBois from 1980 to 1983. He also was an associate attorney at the Law Offices of George P. Eshoo from 1975 to 1980. 

Georgianna (Lagoria) de la Torre ’75 is living in San Francisco with her husband, David. She is Vice President of Museum Management Consultants, and advises museums and cultural organizations in the US and abroad on executive leadership, planning, and audience development. Georgi and David have a son, Mateo, who just graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where he is a legal assistant and currently applying to law school.. They also maintain a home on Oahu, where they lived for 20 years before returning to the Bay Area.

Peter David '75, MBA '76 was named regional general manager for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania at Pronto Software. Previously he held a variety of sales and marketing roles at various companies including HP and Getronics.

Thomas Brooks M.S. '75 writes: "From Los Gatos to Vermont to New Mexico, now back to Connecticut. Survived Hurricane Sandy then a record nor'easter. What's left? Retired and repotted."

Lynne Yates-Carter ’72, J.D. ’76 is celebrating her 30th year as a certified specialist. She is a litigator and also serves as an expert witness on family law issues.

Florian Rothbrust ’76 writes: "We are expecting our second grandchild in December 2012."

Kate McDermott '76 is the creator and founder of Art of the Pie. Since 2006 she has taught the time-honored craft of pie making to thousands. One of the most highly sought-after culinary instructors in the United States, Kate is widely acknowledged as one of the best makers of pie ever. Named "Food Rock Star" by Seattle Magazine, Kate has given her Art of the Pie workshop to food luminaries and has received high praise from Ruth Reichl, former editor of Gourmet, Dorie Greenspan, Elise Bauer (Simply Recipes) and many others. Her blackberry pie was featured in Saveur Magazine's Top 100 Issue and appeared on the cover. She has been written about in numerous books, magazines & blogs by award-winning authors. A practitioner of kindness, she aspires to pass on the craft of pie-making to as many as she can. She has two children and lives at her home, Pie Cottage, in Port Angeles, WA.

Esau Herrera ’72, J.D. ’76 is proud to report that his daughter, Kiara ’12, recently graduated from SCU and promptly joined AmeriCorps to "save the world." Esau is serving as president of the school board at Alum Rock School District in East San Jose, the same district that he attended as a child.

Pat Badia-Johnson M.A. ’76 writes: “Retired from counseling. Just took youngest granddaughter to Italy. Actively involved in church community volunteering. Thirteen great grandchildren. Taking Italian at PSU.”

Jack Treacy, S.J. '77 writes: "I'm in my seventh year serving as director of campus ministry at SCU. I love being back here, contributing to a university community that was so important in my own growth. I can't imagine living a more rewarding life, as I'm inviting into the lives of our students as they develop their minds, open their hearts and form themselves for the rest of their lives. It's a privilege to lead them in prayer, to speak with them about life questions and faith issues, to enjoy happy times and share challenging moments with them. I often think back to our time at SCU as I make my way across campus!"

Antonio Reyes J.D. ’77 of Visalia has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown ’59 to a judgeship on the Tulare County Superior Court. Reyes, 60, has been in solo private practice since 1990. He has a law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's College. Reyes is a Democrat and fills a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Gerald F. Sevier J.D. '71.

Kathryn Palmer Rathvon ’77 writes, "It's been a busy life since the wonderful SCU days! I earned my Masters in International Finance and Econ from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Ariz. and hit the International Scene running through various banking positions. Living and working overseas was a natural outgrowth with my husband, Will, leading to our children being expat kids in Asia and Europe. Our family is geographically challenged! The "kids" are separated in the States by significant distances, Will is in Singapore, and we all travel around for visits! I am thrilled to be re-establishing my professional career in entrepreneurial endeavors, involving health and wellness and inventions."

Bill Quiseng '77 is resort manager at Marriott's KoOlina Beach Club on Oahu, Hawaii.

Gene Ogden M.S. '77 is retiring on Oct. 1 after 45-plus years at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Bill O'Connor '77 writes: "Living in suburb of Milwaukee and have been working in money management industry since graduating from University of Wisconsin grad school. Married 23 years to Amy, three kids, Billy-19,Jack-16, Darby-13. Help coach Marquette University High School rugby team. Think of SCU often with nothing but great memories."

Jerry Mullaney ’77 is now the Chief Financial Officer at Bentley School in Oakland.

Gregory McNulty ’77 recently joined the Honorable Everett Alvarez Jr. ’60 as chief technology officer for Alvarez and Associates. Company founder and CEO Everett Alvarez Jr. was the first U.S. combat pilot shot down over Vietnam and held as a POW for more than eight years in the infamous "Hanoi Hilton" and later served under four U.S. presidents in senior level positions.
