Tim Smith '71, a licensed clinical social worker, recently retired after 28 years working as a clinical supervisor and mental health clinician with the Dept. of Behavioral Health in Fresno.

Roselyn Siino ’03 has recently joined Mosaic Financial Partner's wealth management team. Roselyn is a CFP who has been contributing her advice and knowledge to the wealth management industry for the past 10 years and is very excited to be continuing her career with Mosaic.
Roselyn Siino comes to Mosaic with a decade of experience in the wealth management industry, most recently working with Wells Fargo Private Bank and Merrill Lynch Trust Company. She has done a great deal of work helping high net worth clients understand and navigate complex financial planning topics such as cash-flow analysis, insurance and education funding needs, employee stock options and estate planning. Rosie is a CFP professional, has a Master of Science in Financial Planning from Golden Gate University, and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Santa Clara University. She is a member of the Financial Planning Association and Financial Women of San Francisco.

Pouya Shahbazian J.D. ’03 was profiled in The Hollywood Reporter. He is a manager-producer at New Leaf Literary & Media, a management/production business that includes the hotly anticipated film Divergent, based on a YA novel Shahbazian discovered and placed at Summit. (He has a producer credit). Among his other high-profile sales: Patrick Lee's Runner to Warner Bros. with Justin Lin directing, and Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Boneto DreamWorks.
The London-born book-to-film manager, whose wife is pregnant with their second child, also is doing some writing of his own. He's co-authoring a YA novel titled Scan, which is set for May release, and then will follow up in 2015 with a sequel, Burn.

Tabitha Kappeler-Hurley ’05 is the new communications coordinator for Palo Alto Unified School District . The former public information officer of the Santa Clara Unified School District had been an English teacher and vice principal at Santa Clara's Wilcox High School before moving into the district's public information role in 2004, where she also directed career-technical education and a program to promote female participation in math and science.

Emily Elrod ’05, MA ’14 and Rene Cardenas ’04 on July 9, 2011 at Santa Catalina School in Monterey. They were married by English professor Theodore Rynes, S.J. Alumni in attendance included maid of honor Lisa Catalano ’08, matron of honor Diana (DeRego) Wells ’03, bridesmaid Elizabeth Foley ’06, groomsman Marshall Mort ’05, and parents of the bride Lawrence Elrod ’71, MBA ’77 and Annette Elrod ’73. Additional Broncos in attendance were the bride's godparents James Foley ’68, MSCE ’70 and Susie Foley ’70; Gina Catalano ’10; Phil Catalano ’73, MBA ’75; Dennis Garvey ’75; Alexandria Kavalaris ’07, JD ’10; Anahita Razmazma ’05; Claire (Romero) Shaw ’05, MA ’11; Arun Delacroix ’09; and Ken Wells ’05, MSEE ’07. SCU faculty and staff who attended include Terry Beers, Russ Morris, and former staff Lisa Taggart. Emily recently completed a graduate degree in history and is in SCU’s MATTC program. Rene received his MBA and works in finance. The newlyweds make their home in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose.
