Michael Spencer MBA ’06 and his wife, Elizabeth, are thrilled to announce the birth of their third son, Matthew Collins Spencer. He was born on May 23, 2012. The family lives in the Old Fig Garden neighborhood of Fresno.
Allie Marie Smith '06, founder of "Wonderfully Made," developed the first mobile app designed to help women and girls have a positive body image: Body Beautiful™, which has already charted as a top paid app in the Health and Fitness category, features inspirational quotes, media articles, videos and tools to help users cultivate a positive self-image and fight body dissatisfaction. The app hosts a growing collection of quotes from celebrities, athletes, self-esteem experts and authors such as Tyra Banks, Demi Moore, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and even Ben Stiller’s character in the movie Zoolander. Body Beautiful’s unique photo-stamp feature allows users to encourage a friend by imprinting an inspiring quote or phrase on a photo of her.

Patrick Semansky '06, a professional photographer who has covered events ranging from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill to Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, has been hired by The Associated Press as a staff photographer in the Baltimore bureau. Semansky started his career as a freelance photographer with the AP in New Orleans in 2006. He later was hired as a temporary AP staffer based in that city. He was an integral member of a team of AP journalists covering the 2010 Gulf oil spill. "Patrick will help the AP bolster its already-strong photo report for members in the region," said John Pain, the AP's Mid-Atlantic chief of bureau. "He will provide the compelling coverage of news and sports that our members find essential and can rely on."
Mateja Schuck '06 has begun her first year in the Linguistics Ph.D program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She plans to conduct research on the cognitive parallels of music and language, and the use of music in second language acquisition systems.
Jennifer Sbicca ’06 and Joshua Sbicca ’05 are thrilled to be returning to Santa Clara this summer. Jennifer will graduate from University of Florida College of Medicine this May and start an internal medicine residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for one year. Joshua will be performing research for his Ph.D. in sociology throughout California. In the summer of 2013, they will move to Los Angeles so Jennifer can begin a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Southern California.
Lindsey Hart ’06 and Jonathan Saxon on Oct. 27, 2012. The wedding party included SCU alumni Katie Reedy ’06, Kendall Craver ’06, Claire Bickenbach ’06, and Chrissie (Moreno) Smith ’05. Also in attendance were Maggie (Kaufman) Coffey ’07, Marisa (Randazzo) Fillmon ’06, Drew Gulick ’06, Francesca (Zanfini) Koscielak ’06, Brian Koscielak ’06, Varant Ovanessoff ’06, Alex Rhodes ’06, Blake Twisselman ’05, and Michael Vincent ’06. The couple lives in Chicago, Ill.
Tara Rolle, MA education '06, is assistant principal and director of admissions at Moreau Catholic High School, a college preparatory School in the Holy Cross Tradition. She is in her third year of service at MCHS. In addition to serving as an educational administrator, Tara is in her second year of work on her doctorate in educational leadership, administration and policy at Pepperdine University. Tara lives in Campbell, Calif.
Katrina Welch '06 married Matthew Reardon '06 on September 3rd, 2011 at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Washington. The wedding party included SCU alumni Michelle Rhoney '06, Anita (Ellias) Phillips '06, and Colin Wood '06. Other Broncos in attendance were: Jamie Weaver '06, Christina Alexander '06, Jennifer Gottschalk '07, Diane Snodgrass '06, Trevin Phillips '06, Michelle (Evanson) Sweeney '06, Scott Sweeney '08, Tori Markey '06, Ross Nelson '06, Nick Dieringer '06, Reid Conte '06, Patrick Mower '06, Ross Matthews '05, Colleen Murphy '05 and Alex Tosti '08 who was also the couple's wedding photographer. The newlyweds are currently living in Newport Beach, California.

Marc Rasmussen ’06 married Laura Faulkner May 27, 2012, at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla. Rasmussen leads business analyses and research at Forward Management in San Francisco. This fall he will begin an MBA program at the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
Scott Potter '06 and Stephanie Blocker Potter '06 welcomed their first child, daughter Savannah Grace, on March 18, 2012. She was 6 pounds, 9 ounces. The family lives in Lake Charles, LA.
Mike Pienovi ’06 and his wife, Kate, have recently moved to Shanghai, China, where Mike is pursuing a carrer as a TI technical sales engineer. After receiving his electrical engineering and marketing bachelor's degrees from Santa Clara University, he has been working to support TI's American-based customers with design sites in China. His attempt to build a bridge between the American and Chinese teams has lead both teams to new prospects, applying both the business and technical asepcts tothe job.

Anita L. Ellias '06 married Trevin J. Phillips '06 in Somis, CA on July 24, 2010. Toby Hardman '06, Broderick Smith '06, Vince Castro '06, Jennifer Gottschalk '08, Katrina Welch '06, Michelle Rhoney '06, and Diane Snodgrass '06 were all in the wedding party. Other Broncos in attendance: Melissa Diamond '06, Holly (Honnen) Smith '06, Christina Alexander '06, Alex Tosti '08, Michael Haro '05, Greg Berber '05, Vinnie DiCarlo '05, Ryan Kunkle '05, and Spencer Rand '05. Anita currently works as a United States History teacher at Notre Dame Academy in Los Angeles, Calif., and Trevin works as a whole sale insurance broker in Los Angeles, Calif.

Following his tendency to drastically change his surroundings, after moving from San Jose to Santa Clara for his college years, Bob Pfahnl '06 has since trekked back to San Jose as a lifelong native of the region.
Katie (Roberts) Payer '06 recently moved to Denver with her husband. She started a position as the Vice President of Communications for the Young Americans Center for Financial Education (yacenter.org).
Arthur Obolsky '04 and Caitlyn Gilley Obolsky '06 welcomed their second child, Maya Charlotte Obolsky, on July 24, 2009. She joins older sister Isabelle Alana. Arthur received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in May 2009.
Arthur Obolsky '04 and Caitlyn Gilley Obolsky '06 welcomed their third child, a son named Adam Daniel Obolsky on May 19, 2011. His big sisters Isabelle and Maya are smitten. The family recently relocated from San Diego to Berkeley, and maintain a thriving law practice in both Tax Disputes and Consumer Protection laws. Travis Niesen '06 is a police officer with the City of Santa Clara.
Maria Patricia Miranda '06 graduated from Dartmouth Medical School in June 13, 2010 and is in her first year of residency in Internal Medicine program at the University of Massachusetts. She currently resides outside of Boston.

Denise Melone '06 is living in New York City and working in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather.
Tara Macken '06, an actress/stuntwoman, is playing a fighter – a District 4 tribute – in "The Hunger Games." The film, based on the first book in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins, is about a teenager who lives in a post-apocalyptic world. The games are an annual event in which boy and girls aged 12 to 18 compete in televised battles in which only one of them can survive.
Machen’s big break was appearing on "Sons of Anarchy" on FX. She will be in the next installment of the "G.I. Joe" franchise and the next reboot of "Star Trek."
