Soccer star Brandi Chastain ’91 is among the Class of 2012 for the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame. Chastain, who grew up in San Jose, has been one of the top ambassadors for women's soccer after scoring the winning penalty kick in the 1999 Women's World Cup. She has played on two World Cup championship teams and is a two-time Olympic gold medalist. She was also a soccer commentator at the 2012 Olympics in London.
Ellen Ruebsamen Brown '91 retired from nursing and counseling. She is pursuing a hobby and career as a watercolor artist, and is currently a signature member of the local Pikes Peak W.C. Society. She presently has a painting accepted into Rockies West National 18th annual National Exhibition, and another accepted into the Texas Watercolor Society 61st annual exhibit.

Ann Brannan '91 writes: "After moving around a bit -- Vienna, Austria, Charlottesville, VA and Atlanta, GA -- I'm back in the Midwest (St. Louis) with my husband and our two children -- Joe (11) and CeCe (10). We just booked our flights for the reunion and can't wait to see everyone and introduce my kids to Santa Clara...can't start to early on those college visits!"

Jon Berthelot '91 wites: "I am eager to see everyone at the 20th Reunion! My wife Sarah and I live in Lafayette, Louisiana, with our two children, Dominic (age 12) and Isabelle (age 9). I am an administrator and teacher at a Pre K-12 independent school."
Kaela (Kozlovsky) Bernal '91, J.D. '94 has been working as a legal and special projects associate at Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, Calif., since October 2009, and continues to serve as an arts commissioner for the City of San Jose.

Kevin Baiko '91 has just started up the Big Island Mobile Clinic, a medical clinic on wheels primarily serving Hawaii's Big Island uninsured residents. Services include outpatient conventional and alternative care and feature medical marijuana registration. Meanwhile Kevin's musical alter ego, Doctor Sparkles, is currently recording his third album.
Kevin Woestman '92 and his wife, Peggy, are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Claire Elizabeth on Sept 1, 2010. She joins big brother Noah in their Chantilly, Va. home.
Kevin Woestman ’92 was recently promoted to director of human resources for FrontPoint Security in McLean, Va. FrontPoint is a nationwide provider of wireless alarm systems for residential and commercial customers. He lives with his wife and two children in Chantilly, Va.
Jean (Houston) Walker '92 and husband Todd are proud to announce belatedly the birth of their son, Nicholas William Walker, in January 2007.
Lan Truong '92, a state department officer, is serving as special assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland. She, her partner and their son, Lucas, recently welcomed the birth of a baby boy, Eric, on Dec. 12, 2010. The family lives in Geneva.
Kathleen Tonry '92 is an assistant professor of English and associate director of the writing center at the University of Connecticut.
Kristen Thall Peters J.D. ’92 was elected to the management committee at Cooper, White & Cooper LLP. Peters is currently the chair of the firm’s Green Practice Group, which focuses on green, energy, environmental, pipeline, real estate, and land use law and which is primarily based out of the Walnut Creek office.
She spearheaded the office’s expansion in 2004, and its certification as a green business in 2009. This announcement comes on the heels of the firm’s execution of a five year extension of the lease for the space the Walnut Creek office has occupied since 1989.
Peters is currently an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) - East Bay, the Industrial Association of Contra Costa County, the Diablo Valley Chapter of Women Presidents’ Organization, Women in Cable Telecommunications, the Association of Women in Water and Energy, the Green Business Network of Contra Costa County, and the Contra Costa County Bar Association, of which she formerly served on the board of directors and currently serves on the Diversity Committee. An active member of the Real Estate Section of the Contra Costa County Bar, she served for years in the capacity of board member and president.
A graduate of Concord High School, U.C. Berkeley (B.A. Environmental Sciences) and Santa Clara University (J.D.), Peters is also an active volunteer in the community.
Sonya L. Sigler J.D. '92 is general counsel at Cataphora, Inc.
Sonya Sigler J.D. '92 is vice president of product strategy of SFL Data, the first provider of a fixed-price e-discovery managed service for corporations and law firms. With more than 10 years of experience in business relationship management, Ms. Sigler will help develop and deliver the technology products and tools needed to address the e-discovery needs of law firm and corporate clients. She previously held roles as in-house counsel and a business development/legal consultant to several companies, including Intuit, Sony, IDO Systems, RealCommunities and Treasure Media. A member of the California State Bar, Ms. Sigler also served as an attorney at Sega, supporting business and product development, marketing and finance departments.
David "Shoe" Shuey J.D. ’92 is currently a partner at Rankin, Sproat, et. al. in Oakland, Calif. He practices insurance defense, including general liaiblity, construction defect and injury, and professional malpractice. He has been with Rankin since graduating from Santa Clara. He is also a two term Mayor and current City Councilmember in Clayton, Calif. He has been on the Council since 2002 and is serving his third term. He has been married for 20 years to wife Shelly and has five children, three of which were adopted from China and the Ukraine.

Kerry San Chirico '92 and wife Sheri—a daughter, Xenia Priya, on October 21. Xenia joins big sisters Lucy and Brigid. The family recently returned from India, where Kerry was conducting his dissertation research.
Kerry P.C. San Chirico '92 received his doctorate in religious studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is now Assistant Professor of Religion at the University of Hawai'i, Manoa, where he teaches Global Christianities and Indian religions.
Patty Del Santo Sackinsky ’92 and her husband Brian welcomed a baby boy, Joseph Lawrence, on February 3, 2011. Joseph joins siblings, Maggie (13), Mary Kate (9), Thomas (6), Benjamin (5). The family resides in Shrewsbury, Ma.
Kate Rushford Murray '92 was elected chairwoman of the board of directors for the Women's Fund of New Hampshire. Murray currently lives in New Castle, Del., with her husband, David, and also serves on the board of the Music Hall in Portsmouth and the Advisory Council of the Currier Muesum of Art in Manchester.
Luis J. Rodriguez '89, J.D. '92 was among five attorneys certified in July for the State Bar Board of Governors. He was elected, along with Gretchen Nelson, to represent District 7, which encompasses Los Angeles County. Elected to serve a three-year term, Luis will be sworn in at the State Bar’s annual meeting on September 25. Luis Rodriguez, a Los Angeles County deputy public defender, is a former member of the State Board of Education, a former president of the Mexican American Bar Association, and former chair of the State Bar’s Council on Access and Fairness.
Jeff '92, J.D. '96 and Molly (Foy) Rich '92 welcomed their third baby, Findlay George Rich, on June 12, 2010. Finn joins his older brother, Jeffrey Jr. (8) and sister, Caeleigh (6) in Palo Alto where Molly works in real estate. Jeff is currently Assistant General Counsel at Juniper Networks.
Jonathan Rende MBA ’92 joined Appcelerator, a mobile platform company, as vice president of products. Previously, he was vice president and general manager for HP software's application lifecycle management business. With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Rende has held various product roles at Informix, Lockheed, and Mercury.

Allison (Clinton) Rak ’92 writes, "I'm living in San Carlos, Calif., and am married to Adam Rak—we recently celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. We have three daughters, ages 10, 7, and 5. I own a boutique consulting firm, Vatoca Partners, specializing in consumer insight and innovation. I'm really looking forward to reconnecting with my SCU classmates at our reunion in October!"
