M. Ryan Hubbard '04 D.O. completed his residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara. He was the recipient of the Stanford University School of Medicine Gold Humanism in Medicine and Teaching Award. He will join the Daughters of Charity Health Foundation and work at O'Connor Hospital, where he did a health care ethics internship during his time at SCU.
In 2012 James Hatcher MBA '04 established consulting firm Core Strategies Co. Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand and resides there. Core Strategies provides consulting services to clients with business in the Middle East and Asia.
Colin '04 and Laura Harter ’04—Addison Marie Harter on June 7, 2013. She lives with her big sister Charley and parents in San Francisco.
Ron Hansen M.A. ’95, M.Div. ’04 is this year’s recipient of the Evil Companions Award, which honors a writer who hails from the West or writes about it. Hansen is an Omaha native who teaches literature at Santa Clara University. He has earned numerous honors in his four decades as a novelist, essayist and short-story writer, including the status of creating one of the longer and more intriguing titles in contemporary fiction: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Meghan (Hanratty) Green '04 and Tyler Green '04 welcomed their second child, Nora Elizabeth, on March 20, 2013. She joins big brother Gavin. They live in Seattle, WA.
Noel Fonseca ’04 married his partner Kyle Davidson on July 5, 2013 in Urbana, Ohio. In attendance were alumni Manuel Perez ’04, Khanh-Thy Gonzales ’04, Juan-Carlos Guzman ’04, Deanna Sainten ’06, and Communications Professor Charlotta Kratz.
Richard Augustus Brackett ’04 and Kelly Marie Morrison ’04 daughter of Kay ’74 and Paul Morrison ’73, were married on August 23, 2013 in Sacramento, Calif. Dating commenced after their 5 year Grand Reunion.
Jeff Bochsler ’04, inspired by his travels abroad during his time at Santa Clara University and after, recently published the e-book Be Multinational.
This book highlights 22 stories of everyday citizens from all over the globe who have traveled, lived, worked, and studied outside their birth country. Their stories of courage, strength, creativity, and growth remind us that venturing abroad is not a step back but a large step forward in our career, academic, and life pursuits. Bochsler writes, "Whether you've spent long stints abroad or never before, this book is sure to enliven a multinational spirit within you, knock down those barriers holding you back from booking your next ticket, and have you wondering why it took this long. A new language, experience, broadened perspective, and skill set is waiting. You will be better for it. The world will be better for it."

Becca Johansen ’04 married Marc Auten at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, Ore. on August 24, 2013. In attendance, as the most awesome bridesmaid, was Mary Chandler ’04, J.D. ’07. The couple lives with their two dogs, Phoebe and Goose, in Portland, Ore.
Katy (Shumm) Tuttle ’05 and husband Matt Tuttle ’05 welcomed their second child, a son, John "Jack" Ryan Tuttle on March 21, 2013. Both parents and big sister Emily are thrilled and doing great.
Lisa (Eskey) Rodriguez MBA ’05 and her husband Steve welcomed their second son, Coby Gage, on April 20, 2013. He joins Jax, 2. They live in Pleasanton.
Steven Riccoboni '05 received his M.D., with a concentration in Global Health, from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City this May. He is returning to California to begin an Emergency Medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno.
Timothy Reed J.D. '05 and I-Lan Emily Lin welcomed their first child, Gavin Weixiang Reed, on Sept. 9, 2012.
Jocelyn Stauffer ’05 married Stephen McGuire on February 16, 2013 at Mission Santa Clara de Asis with a reception following at The Sainte Claire Hotel. Becky (Bignell) Reuter ’05 and Katie Bignell ’05 were among the members of the wedding party. Bobby Reuter ’05 and Matt Hendricks ’07 provided the ceremony music. The Reverend Paul Fitzgerald, S.J. ’80 witnessed the marriage. Among the guests were Tessa Carter ’05, Tim Gill J.D. ’84, Mike Lysaght ’05, and Aaron Uchikura ’05, M.A. ’11. The couple resides in Nashville, Tenn.
Ned Matthews '05, Kristin Matthews '06, and their son Connor (2 years old) welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Sophia Claire, on April 10, 2013. The family lives in Santa Clara.
Beth Simas '05, daughter of Ted '70 and Rita Simas, married Matthew Marcinek on February 16, 2013 in Sacramento, California. In attendance were over 20 Broncos from the classes of '70, '04, and '05. The couple currently resides in Houston, Texas.
Daisy Huang M.S. ’05 writes, "Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska! March is almost drawing to a close, but I am watching snow fall outside my window. I have just completed my PhD in mechanical engineering and applied physics. Best wishes to the Bronco family! I am attaching a photo of a yearling moose that has just destroyed my bird feeder."
