Business Valuation Resources is a niche publisher of business valuation guides, books and on-line resources for the professional business appraiser. This big change allows me to be in the same area as my daughter, Kristina, who graduated from University of Portland in May 2013 and is working in the Portland area."

Michael Dee ’79 recently joined the Henry S. Miller Company in Dallas, Texas a President, Retail Division. Henry S Miller is a 100 year old private commercial real estate firm. Michael resides in Dallas with his wife, Julie, and their 3 daughters, ages 19, 16 & 13.

Michael Dee ’79 writes that he is president of the Retail Division of Henry S Miller Company. The company is the oldest private real estate firm in Texas and is celebrating 100 years in business in 2014. Michael lives in Dallas with his wife, Julie, and their three daughters.

Barrett-Anderson, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson J.D. ’79, a retired Superior Court of Guam Judge, is in the race for attorney general. She served the government of Guam for 33 years. She is credited with the creation of the Driving While Influenced (DWI) Court and the rules of procedure and practice in the field of domestic violence. Barrett-Anderson has been recognized nationally for this work in the past, serving on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and the Federal Advisory Council on Juvenile Justice. She is a strong advocate for judicial and legal education, victims rights, consumer protection, and child support enforcement.

Barnes, Andrew

Andrew Barnes MBA ’79 retired in October 2013. He spent a long career in the computer industry, holding various sales/marketing and management positions.

 
After earning a BS Business Administration at UNLV, he worked in Las Vegas for five years selling commercial computer systems. He then relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he earned an MBA at Santa Clara University and was employed in Silicon Valley for the rest of his career. He worked at Sun Microsystems, Mentor Graphics and other companies, including start-ups. While at Sun he led a team that developed and rolled out a global program for major software partners. His travels took him throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He earned a number of sales awards and other recognitions, including being named a Sun Key Employee two times.
 
Barnes lives in Mountain View with his wife, Jenny. He is looking forward to more couple/grandkids time and taking up golf again (for the third time).  He gave himself a Porsche as a retirement present and has joined Porsche Club of America.
