Barbara Small ’86 joined GCA Law Partners LLP as a partner in May 2014 and established the firm’s Trusts and Estates practice. Barbara’s practice covers estate planning, decedent’s estate administration (probate), trust administration, conservatorship/guardianship matters, and elder law counseling. Her clients are drawn from all levels of the business and social structure in Silicon Valley, from innovative CEO's and pioneering legal leaders to individual family members and elders intent on preserving their independence.

Acting Santa Clara County Counsel Lori Pegg J.D. ’86 has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown ’59 to the 79-member Santa Clara County Superior Court bench. Pegg has headed the county counsel's office this past year. She has been a county lawyer since 2001 and previously specialized in employment law for a number of local law firms. The San Jose resident received her law degree from Santa Clara University.
John P. Nyhan ’86 has joined the law firm of O'Keefe Lyons & Hynes, LLC as a partner in its Property Tax Appeal and Real Estate Practice group. Prior to joining the firm, he served in local government as Chief Legal Counsel to the Cook County Assessor and as Chief Deputy Commissioner for the Cook County Board of Review. John resides in the Chicago area with his wife Kris and their eight year old daughter Laura.

Ce Cole Dillon J.D. ’86 co-founded Student Loan 411 LLC. Student Loan 411 LLC is an advisory firm that helps student loan borrowers reengineer their student loan debt to pay for their life, not just their student loans. We also help financial services firms clients, mortgage and real estate companies and universities to manage their default rates. Ce resides in Chicago, Ill. with her family.

Kenton Chow ’86, MBA ’96 is now the Chief Operating Officer of RetailNext, Inc., the leading big data analytics software company for physical retail stores worldwide. He and his wife of 19 years, Teri, live in Almaden Valley in San Jose with their two daughters, Kendra 17, and Kianna 14.
Mary Beth Cebedo Lefebvre ’86 writes, "I am a project/program manager at Symantic's Sales and Marketing Operations org. Outside work, I volunteer as a board member with the Palo Alto Historical Association and as a yoga teacher at St. Elizabeth Seton School."
John Alba Jr. M.A. ’86 retired from education after a 35-year career. He taught for seven years in a K–8 setting and was a school administrator for 28 years. He was an elementary school prinicipal, junior high school principal, and director of personne. He finished his career as the East Union High School principal, in Manteca, Calif., for the past ten years. He is also celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary with Cindy Alba, assistant superintendent of the Livermore Unified School District. He thanks SCU for a great education!
