Matthew Zilli ’02 was newly appointed Vice President of Marketing at LineStream Technologies. Recent leadership positions he has held include head of sales and marketing at VideoGenie; and product and business development manager at Rovi Corp (formerly Macrovision).
Jeannine Torres '02 has completed her MBA at NYU's Stern School of Business where she was a Consortium Fellow. She has also begun her studies at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government where she is pursuing her MPA in public policy.
Stephen Tonna '01 and Margery (Blain) Tonna '02 welcomed a baby boy, Joshua, to the world on February 23, 2010. The family resides in Willow Glen, and Joshua's proud parents both work in marketing at Apple Inc. in Cupertino.
Steffan Tomlinson MBA ’02 was named chief financial officer of Palo Alto Networks, a Santa Clara based network security company known for its Next Generation Firewalls.
From 2005 to 2011, Tomlinson served as CFO of Aruba Networks, playing a key role in the company’s Initial Public Offering, something attractive to Palo Alto Networks as the company moves closer to an IPO.
From 2000 to 2005, Tomlinson served multiple roles including CFO of Peribit Networks, a WAN optimization technology company acquired by Juniper Networks in 2005 in a deal valued at approximately $337 million. He earned an MBA from Santa Clara University and a BA from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
Andrew Thompson '03 and Beth (Livingston) Thompson '02 welcomed their daughter Alice Eliza Joy on August 21, 2012. Alice joins big brothers Henry and Timothy. The family lives in San Jose.
Joseph Thannickal M.A. ’02 writes that his book, Gifted Journey, has been published in India by Pauline Media. "It deals with finding Meaning in life and enriching our spirituality. Some people have found it a good bridge between Viktor Frankl's contribution of meaning in life and Catholic Spirituality. I enjoyed writing it, and I want to thank many people who have given me positive feedback. By the way, St.Paul's has just told me they are going for a second print. It is not available in the US. Allison and Aug Sebastiani '02 welcomed their third child and first son, August David Sebastiani III, on Tuesday, May 10. Allison and Aug also have 2 girls Gabriella (5) and Sofia (3), who are very excited to be big sisters.
Xiomara Vielman '02 and Jason Saldana '01 married May 18, 2012, in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. Friends who joined them were Mary Rodriguez Stavn '02, Sylvia Anguiano '02, Gloria Yu '02, and Sam Ritchey '01. The couple lives in Sunnyvale, Calif.
After working as a community organizer for five years, Alicia Ross '02 is now the executive director of Sacramento Area Congregations Together, a faith-based nonprofit community organization that is part of the PICO National Network. Alicia also completed her masters of liberal arts in creation spirituality from Naropa University in 2006.
Kerrie Romanow MBA ’02 was named as San Jose's director of the environmental services department, which she has led for the past year as it oversees services for wastewater, drinking water, trash and recycling collection.
Romanow began her career in San Jose in 2006 as assistant director of environmental services, the second-highest position in the department. Before that she worked for Sunnyvale-based consulting firm Environmental and Occupational Risk Management Inc., Filtronic Solid State in Santa Clara and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.

Maria Quintero J.D. ’02 is now a senior attorney at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in San Francisco, handling civil litigation defense and appellate matters.
Maren (Hawkins) Pellant '02 and husband Butch Pellant welcomed daughter, Sawyer Jane, on february 18th, 2010. Sawyer joins big brother Beckham 4, and big sister, Tylie,3.
Ken Shadman Ota '02 completed his Family Medicine Residency in June. Ken is initiating his unique Transitional Care Medicine Program at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz., in August. Ken thanks his Santa Clara Advisor, Associate Professor of Biology David Tauck, for helping guide him to his medical career.
Maribeth (Bleymaier) Oscamou '02 and her brothers started a new company called www.lateralsports.com. It's a website that aggregates online media content for college athletic teams, ranging from game times to information on favorite players and teams. It also features links to games being streamed online and free text message alerts when your favorite teams are playing. The website had been live for only a few weeks when it was noticed by the Wall Street Journal in the article Early Adopter: LateralSports.com–Kayak for College Sports Online."
Dan and Lisa (Mrkvicka) Mudgett '02 welcomed their first baby on April 3, 2009. Owen Robin Mudgett weighed 9 lbs 12 oz and measured 22 inches long. The new family is enjoying the spring weather in Seattle.
Lisa (Mrkvicka) Mudgett ’02 and husband Dan welcomed baby boy Joshua Graham to their family on Jan. 17, 2012, weighing 9 pounds 4 ounces and measuring 20 inches tall. Big brother Owen loves his new friend, and will be turning 3 in April. The family lives in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, and Lisa is working as a consulting healthcare actuary.
Michael Mooney ’02 was named to Puget Sound Business Journal’s 2012 "40 Under 40" list. Mooney is director of risk management and insurance at the Americas at Expeditors International and co-founder and vice president of ClimbOn.
Christine (Lupo) Montgomery '02 writes, "I received my Ph.D. in English from U.C. Santa Cruz in 2012 and now have a two-year postdoctoral position in the English department at my undergraduate university, Santa Clara."
