Stephanie (Deddens) MacDonald '01 and Michael MacDonald '02 welcomed their first child, son Luke Michael born on April 19, 2010. He was 7lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches long. Stephanie is a first grade teacher in San Jose and Michael is a real estate attorney in Palo Alto. The family lives in San Jose.

Paul Laurie '02 co-founded Walking Tree Travel, a summer Peace Corps–like program for teens that works in countries from China to Costa Rica, Senegal to Spain. Annually the company senda hundreds of teens to small villages to build schools, learn about local culture, and, most important, return to teach their friends about a world outside of the United States.

Ian '02 and Bethany (Stevenson) Kelly '02 welcomed their first daughter, Erinne Margaret, on January 5, 2010. The family lives in Portland, Ore.
Ian Kelly '02 and Bethany (Stevenson) Kelly '02 welcomed their second daughter, Caitlin Clara, on July 30, 2012. She joins big sister Erinne. Her middle name comes from the place her parents met: Santa Clara! The family lives in Portland.
Amanda Judge ’02 is the founder and president of the Andean Collection (AC), a line of jewelry that combines her own musings on design with insights on poverty in South America. Michael Joyce J.D. ’02 joined Sidley Austin LLP as a partner in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Joyce focuses his practices on the use of complex and innovative structures to finance projects in the renewable energy field, as well as in fossil fuel and other infrastructure assets.
Joyce has assisted clients on numerous transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Recent transactions have focused on renewable energy projects for a wide range of assets, including solar, wind, geothermal, and biomass projects.
Samuel J. Dalesandro, Jr. J.D. '01 and Heather Mardel Jones J.D. '02 welcomed their first child, Lila Mardel Dalesandro, on August 11, 2010. Sam is a Deputy District Attorney at the Fresno County District Attorney's Office, assigned to the Career Criminal Unit. Heather is an associate at Dowling, Aaron and Keeler, in Fresno, California, focusing her practice on civil, probate, and trust litigation.
Kevin Ireland '02 and Laura Roberts were married on July 17, 2010 at the Mission San Francisco Solano in Sonoma, Calif. A 100-person guest list included Best Man Brad Moodie '02, Groomsman Jonathan Hoffer '03, and invited guests Rachel (Boll) Moodie '03, Matt Murphy '02 and Kelly (Hunsinger) Murphy '02, Ted Anderson '03 and Ann (Sheehan) Anderson '03, Chuck Schwalbach '03 and Diane (Varni) Schwalbach '03, Sean Santa Cruz '03, Joseph Florez '03, and William Kardas '04.
Tyler Hansbrough '02 is a Spanish instructor and Varsity Tennis Coach at nearby Bellarmine College Prep, serving in his 9th year at the school. He created 2 new immersion trips--one to Skid Row in Los Angeles and another to an orphanage in Central Mexico--and just completed his Master's Degree in Spanish after spending the summer in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Sarah Hannaleck '02 and Josh Hannaleck '03 welcomed their twins, Linnea Grace and Mason Joshua, on August 12, 2010. The family lives in Santa Cruz, Calif.
Andrew Gere MBA '02 has been promoted to Vice President of Operations at San Jose Water Company. Andrew has been with the company since 1995 and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many regulatory compliance plans and capital improvements necessary to the company's success. He leads the company's largest employee base, including Water Quality, Operations, Distribution Systems and DS Support. In that role, he is in charge of planning and directing comprehensive programs, budgets and management staff related to water resources, water quality control, water production, storage, distribution, infrastructure maintenance and repair, metering, procurement, logistics and environmental management.
Lauren (Sexton) Formo '02 and Jason Formo '02 welcomed daughter Dylan Makenzie Formo on April 17, 2012. The family resides in Seattle, Wash. Mike Sexton, SCU's VP for Enrollment Management, is a proud grandfather and already recruiting Dylan for the Class of '33.
Mariah (Dyen) Flanagan '02 writes that she and her husband, Patrick Flanagan, are proud to announce that on December 4, 2012, they opened the doors of their wood-fired pizzeria, Wood Fire Woodie (www.woodfirewoodie.com), in Scotts Valley, CA. Wood Fire Woodie was established in 2007 as a mobile wood-fired pizza catering company. Wood Fire Woodie specializes in thin-crust Italian style pizza cooked in a tuscan oven. The Flanagans own and operate their pizzeria and mobile unit with the direction of their two daughters, Sofia, 6, and Kirra, 4.

Brian '02 and Mandy (Redkey) Demmert '02 welcome a daughter, Abigail Susan, born on May 17, 2009. The family lives in San Jose. Brian works for Oxford Finance and Mandy teaches 5th grade.
