Timothy "Pat" Hannon '70, J. D. '74 graduated with a master's in military history from Norwich University on June 19, 2015. He is working as an administrative law judge for Social Security in San Jose.
Eino Huhtala '70 and Marie (Mackey) Huhtala '71 have just moved back to California after many years in northern Virginia. They made the move to be close to their daughter and two grandchildren in the Bay Area. Eino and Marie will make their home in Petaluma, where they'll be pursuing new professional and personal adventures.
Robert G.P. Cruz '71, J.D. '83 was recently sworn in by Guam Governor Eddie Calvo as a member of the Guam Senior Citizens Council. He is president of the Guam Chapter, AARP, and an adjunct professor at the University of Guam. Cruz has also taught business law for the U. of Phoenix MBA program for the past two years. He recently received an award from the Guam Division of Senior Citizens for serving as a Medicare volunteer assisting senior citizens with appeals. For the past two years, Bob has volunteered as a dance instructor in senior citizen centers throughout Guam. He is also a certified volunteer AARP, Driver Safety Instructor.

Larry Paxton '76 was recently elected as president of the American Geophysical Union's Space Physics and Aeronomy Section. Larry is the head of the Geospace and Earth Science Group at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. In July, he met Dr. Frank Drake of the Drake Equation. Dr. Drake had presented a lecture on project Ozma to the physics majors in 1974. That lecture and Larry's experience as an undergraduate researcher and participation in the Honors Program at Santa Clara shaped Larry's later life and career.

Geoff Long ’77 is policy director for State Senate President Kevin de Leon. His wife, Joyce Terhaar, serves as executive editor of The Sacramento Bee. Their two sons, Connor and Casey, are both UC Santa Barbara grads.
