Freshman Dorm: Campisi
Kristen Weaver ’97 writes that she received her M.A. in education in 1999 from Stanford University; volunteered in the U.S. Peace Corps from 2002 to 2005 as a curriculum development specialist in Nouakchott, Mauritania; and married her husband, Natnael, in November 2010 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Weaver is presently employed by the U.S. Department of State. Natnael is a newsletter editor who loves IT and woodworking. They currently live in Saudi Arabia.
Chantel Waterbury ’97, founder and CEO of chloe + isabel, was listed in "More 40 under 40" by Fortune magazine. Although the 37-year-old didn't make the main list of business' hottest rising stars, she was nevertheless recognized as being among the latest players on the direct-sales jewelry scene, helping sellers set up virtual store fronts and offering them a range of jewelry to hawk using their social networking savvy. Waterbury has more than 14 years of experience developing jewelry for retailers like Macys, Old Navy, and LVMH's DFS Galleria.
Jason Tarver ’97 is the new defensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders. He previously worked with the San Francisco 49ers and the Stanford football coaching staff.
Alison (Lacy) Stroot '97 and husband Steve welcomed a girl, Gwendolyn Aurora, on Sep. 9, 2009. She joins big brother Logan, 2, in San Jose, CA. Alison teaches 1st grade at Allen at Steinbeck K-8, in San Jose.
Olivia Brittany Stover (Ford) '97 and husband Kieran welcomed their second daughter, Lily Finch, on November 19, 2010. Older sister is Madeline Deia (5 1/2 yrs old).
Gates Matthew Stoner '98 is now Senior Instructional Technologist & Web Platform Manager at The University of Arizona in the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. He continues to adjunct in the Communication Department.

Kathy Carr Stephens '97 and her husband, Jeff, proudly welcome their first child, Chloe Grace born 12-19-10! The family lives in Playa del Rey, California.
Danielle (Martinez) Sempek '97 welcomed daughter Kathryn McCullough Sempek into the world on Jan. 10, 2011 and son Noah James Sempek into the world on April 2, 2012. She is happily married and working as a registered nurse in Tallahassee, Fla.
Don '97 and Angelena (Sanfilippo) Paxton '97 proudly announce the birth of their son, Michael-Patrick Paxton. He was born Dec. 12, 2010, and is named after their dearly-loved and sorely-missed SCU friend, Patrick Carney '97. Michael-Patrick joins big sister Graciana, big brother Donnie, and golden retriever, Roosevelt in the family's San Jose home. Don is Director for Maxim Integrated Products in Sunnyvale. Angelena teaches Creative Writing and linguistics at National University and U.C. extension. She also bakes a lot.
Margaret (Madden) Rivero '97 and husband Gerardo Rivero welcomed their third child, Lena Sophia, on March 25, 2010. She joins big brothers Lucas, 4, and Sam, 2, at home in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.

Jeff Perry '97 was promoted to Vice President of Enterprise Hardware at Oracle, where he manages a number of sales teams. His position has brought him back to the SCU campus where he spends time recruiting and hiring recent grads. Jeff and Jessica Perry '97 have three children and reside in Redwood City, Calif.
Brian Paulson '97, marketing manager at Juniper Networks, and wife Michelle MA '05, welcomed twin boys, Colby and Zachary, on July 15th, 2010. They join older sister Dana (4) and brother Ethan (6).
Alison (Ehrich) Pariani '97 and husband Steve welcomed identical twins Elena Rose and Siena Marie on May 23, 2011. They join older brothers Jordan (15) and Marco (2). The family lives in Burlingame.
Cate (Bloem) O'Reilly '97 who lives with her husband in San Diego is pleased to announce the birth of her daughter Sophie Catherine on March 4th 2010. Sophie joins two year old brother Shay Louden.
Cate (Bloem) O'Reilly '97 and husband Rob O'Reilly are delighted to announce the birth of their third child Chloe Clare O'Reilly born January 26th 2012. Chloe joins big brother Shay Louden (3) and big sister Sophie Catherine (1). The family lives in San Diego where Cate is taking a break from medical social work to be at home with the kiddos and Rob is a manager for Mercedes Benz.
Laura Lee Norris J.D. ’97 has been named founding director of the new Entrepreneur’s Law Clinic at Santa Clara's School of Law.
Tina (Johnson-Cohen) Murray B.S. '90, M.B.A. '97 and her husband, Kirk, live with their two children in Los Gatos, CA. Tina continues to consult on Agile Software.
Douglas Matthews '97 is practicing medicine at Enloe Medical Center in his home town of Chico, Calif. Matthews is a colorectal and general surgeon in the same office as his father.
Richard Douglas Matthews '97, a colorectal surgeon in Chico, was profiled in the article “Like father, like son,” on www.newsreview.com.
Matthews graduated from the Boston University School of Medicine in 2003 and completed a six-year residency at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City, in 2009. He completed a year-long colorectal surgery fellowship at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J., before heading back to Chico in 2010 to become a colorectal surgeon, just like his father.
He joined his father's private practice, and today, they even perform surgeries together.
Kristi Martinez O'Hara '97 and husband Chad welcomed a girl, Sabine Isabel, on May 26, 2009. Kristi teaches art at Charles Armstrong School in Belmont. The family lives in San Francisco.
Alexis Wetoska Malayter '97 and husband Ryan welcomed a baby girl, Helena Marie, July 26, 2009. She joins brother Winston, 2, at home in Winnetka, IL.
