Create the Web Pages
- Click on File
New
File
Name the File: index.htm
This file must be saved inside the local root folder
- Repeat to add the
rest of the pages in your site
Remember file naming
conventions:
» all lower case
» no_spaces

Build Your Home Page
3. Insert a table.
- Click on Insert and
select Table.
- Make sure it has
3 rows, 3 columns, width at 85% and border is 1
- Click OK
Note: Even though Cell
Padding (internal cell margins) and Cell Spacing (the space between
the cells) are empty, the default is one pixel. If you want it
to be zero pixels, you must type a 0.

Cell Spacing = the space between the cells
Cell Padding = the internal margins inside the cells
Border = the table border
The Width of the table can be in percent or in Pixels.
Note: These settings apply to the entire table and are all or none.
You can nest tables to apply different settings |
4.
Merge cells in the table
- Click in a cell in
the first row of the table you just inserted and click on the <tr> tag
to select that row

- Click
on the merge button on the property inspector.

Properties
Notice the Property
inspector displays the properties for the selected cells or row
in the table.
1- Horizontal
position of text [left, center or right]
2- Vertical Position of text [top, center or bottom]
3- Merge Cells
4- Split cell
5- Bg-Change the background color
6- Brdr-Change the border color
7- Add a background image
8- W-Enter in pixels or percent the width of the selected
cells
9- H-Enter in pixels or percent the height of the selected
cells

Modify the table--
- Click on the <table> tag
on the tag bar. Notice the property inspector displays the "properties" of
the table.

Table Properties
Table properties affect
the entire table. You can't just change a row or a cell.
Rows-type
number of rows in the table
Cols-type in the number of columns
in the table
W-enter in pixels or percent,
the width of the table
H-enter in pixels or percent,
the height of the table
Cell Pad refers to the internal
margins of cells in a table
CellSpace refers to the distance
in pixels between cells
Align refers to the alignment
of the table content
Border lets you enter the
width of the border in pixels
Bg Color refers to the Background
Color of the table
Brdr Color refers to the Border
Color of the table
Bg Image lets you add a background
image to the table.

6. Insert
an image such as a logo.
- Click in the first
row of your table
- Click on Insert

7.
Change the text with the property inspector.

1. Default font allows
you to change the font to one of the default fonts. It is important
to stick with one of the six defaul font groups to ensure that
viewers see the correct content.
2. Size allows you to change font size
4. the box next to size allows you to change the font.
5. B-Bold
6. I- Italics
7. Left, Center or Right justify
8. Link the text by selecting text and typing the URL in the Link field

Add a navigation table.
- Insert a table
- Click in the first
cell of the second row
- Click on Insert and
select Table.
- Make sure it has:
- one row for
each page in your site that you will link to from your
home page. [For example, Home [index.htm], etc.]
- only one column,
width at 100% and border is 1
- Click OK

the Common Toolbar |
9.
Link the pages.
- Add the names of
your pages to the navigation table
- Select the text [For
example, Home which is normally
linked to the index.htm page.]
- Type the name of
the file in the link field of the property inspector
