• Click on FileNew
• Enter the dimensions of your new logo:
  • Width 800pixels,
  • Height 150 pixels,
  • Resolution 100.

(This will create a logo that is about 8 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall.) You may crop it down later or start with 100-125 pixels if you don't want it too tall.

2. Change the mode to Bitmap so that you can edit your content.

Click on EditInsertEmpty Bitmap

4.Click on the Paint Bucket button on the tool bar and
Click on the canvas of the background to add color to the background

5. Add an image to the logo.
6. Click on FileOpen and select the image you want to insert on your logo

Resize your work space so that you can see both image files
7. Click on the image you want to put on your logo to make it the active screen

Click on the Pointer tool

8. Click on the image and drag it to the background image.

The image you use should be as tall or slightly taller that the height of the logo, and should have the same resolution.

8a. Use the Pointer tool to position the picture on the logo background (Click and drag with the tool to move the picture into place.

9. Click on the text tool to add text to your logo
10. Click and drag to insert a text box and type the logo text
Use the property inspector to customize the font

11. Click on the Crop Button and draw a box around the logo to cut excess size
12 Press Enter.

Notice that Each object added to the background is in its' own layer

Name and save the logo file as a .png file type. This will keep the layer information in case you want to change it later.

Now use the Export Wizard to optimize and save it as a .jpg or a gif file.
