BackUp your Archive
It is Possible to have multiple Archive Folders. This is helpful for those who get a lot of e-mails . For example, the owner can create a second folder and then tell Groupwise where the second folder is. GroupWise will recognize the new folder. To return to the other archive folder, just tell GroupWise where the old folder is, and it will be possible to read and access those e-mail messages, too.

Create a New Archive Folder

1. Click on Tools and select Options

2. Click on the Environment Icon

3. Click on the File Location Tab

4.In the Archive Directory field type the path and name for your new Archive folder/directory, for example, you can add the year to the folder name:

C:\MyDocuments\Archive 05

It is recommended that the folder for the new archive should be created in My Documents where your other Archive folder(s) are.

5. Delete the contents in the Caching Mailbox field.

6. Click on OK and Choose Yes when asked to create a New Directory

7. Click on NO when asked if you want to move your old
e-mails to your new mailbox.

6. Click on Write these files to CD.

Important Note: You cannot read the archived e-mails directly from the CD. GroupWise must write a temporary archive directory in the same folder where your archive files are. You must copy the Archive folders to your computer and then view them with GroupWise.
It is also important that the Archive folders are moved intact. Do not copy contents only. The Archive contents must not be separated.
