GSBI Network

The GSBI Network is a growing group of universities and other mission-aligned institutions with the common goal of providing a path out of poverty through innovation and entrepreneurship. Network partners share curriculum, methodology, best practices, and other resources for launching and operating social enterprise incubators and accelerators, and for fashioning students as future changemakers. Through annual in-person meetings and ongoing online collaboration, GSBI Network members embark on joint research projects such as the recent issue of the Journal of Management for Global Sustainability dedicated to social entrepreneurship.

GSBI Network members include:

Impact Amplifier, South Africa
Posible, Mexico
The Hub, Japan

Rudy Ang, Dean

“We first met the folks at GSBI just when we were about to set up our own Center for Social Entrepreneurship. Our exposure to their programs and our access to their reservoir of knowledge and experience has helped us to jumpstart our efforts and to avoid many of the pitfalls that we would not have foreseen on our own. As we have gotten to know the individuals who make up the GSBI team, we have been inspired by their passionate desire to make a difference, and this has moved us to attack our own challenges with greater enthusiasm and vigor. The global network of like-minded institutions and individuals that we have met through GSBI has allowed us to see best practices in business incubation from all over the world, and remind us that we can achieve much, much more by working together than by working alone. It has been both blessing and honor to be a part of the GSBI network!”

Paul Basil

“GSBI generously shared its knowledge and experience with Villgro to help launch our 8-month intensive SEED program for early-stage social entrepreneurs in India. GSBI even sent mentors for 3 of the in-residence sessions, which added a global perspective to our India-specific program. We are excited to gain new connections and insights from the GSBI Network going forward.”
