The Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) is the administrative center for sponsored projects (externally funded) for the University. SPO serves the dual function of while providing a high level of service to University faculty and staff members and protecting the University's interests in matters relating to external funding. We assist in all aspects of the proposal-from identifying funding opportunities, developing project ideas into competitive proposals, and submitting complete proposals. SPO also performs post-award functions, which include budget monitoring, financial reporting and auditing, billing of sponsored agencies, and closeout of grants. Finally, SPO insures institutional compliance with laws, rules, and regulations inherent in externally sponsored activities and programs.
