The Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) has general responsibility for all University sponsored projects. The Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs has been delegated the authorized official with final signature authority for sponsored projects administration. All sponsored projects for research, training or other sponsored activities must first be reviewed and approved by the appropriate Department Chair and/or Dean and then forwarded, with the University's Proposal Approval Form (SPO-1), to the Sponsored Projects Office. The Sponsored Projects Office reviews proposals and awards and submits them to the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs for official University approval.
