Brad MattsonAdvisory Board Member, Chairman of the Board, ZOOMBrad Mattson is a well known executive and entrepreneur in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry. In April 2005, he was listed as one of the Top 50 most influential people in the Semiconductor Industry, including 3 levels in the semiconductor food chain. This list included such luminaries as Gordon Moore, Jim Morgan, Jack Kilby (inventor of the IC), Andrew Grove, and Craig Barett, CEO of Intel. In the Semiconductor Equipment segment of the Industry, Mr. Mattson was ranked as the 8th most influential person. Currently Mr. Mattson is the Chairman of the Board of ZOOM. Before that he was founder, CEO and Chairman of Mattson Technology where he developed the Aspen platform and Strip system, and from which he retired in 2001. Previous to that he was founder, CEO, and Chairman at Novellus Systems where he developed and introduced the Concept One system which launched the Company. Prior to that Mr. Mattson held various management, marketing, and technical positions at Applied Material and LFE Corporation. Mr. Mattson has degrees from Santa Clara University and San Jose State University. He is a member of the Board of Regents of Santa Clara University and of the Board of Directors of SEMI, the leading Semiconductor Equipment Industry Association. Mr. Mattson has been honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1988, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from San Jose State University. He also holds 12 patents in various semiconductor equipment and process related areas. |
