- Pedro Hernández- Ramos (Center for Science, Technology, and Society) is the lead author (with James L. Koch, Albert Bruno, and Eric Carlson) of an article published in the October/November 2007 issue of Innovate-Journal of Online Education, “Designing the Online Collaboratory for the Global Social Benefit Incubator.” The publication also sponsored a “webinar” presentation of the article conducted by Hernández-Ramos and Koch which was recorded and can be retrieved online. - Chad Raphael and Christine Bachen (Communication Department) published "Portrayals of information and communication technology on world wide web sites for girls" in the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, vol. 11, no. 3, May 2006. The article was co-authored with former student Kathleen M. Lynn and current students Jessica Baldwin-Philippi and Kristen McKee. The authors were funded by a grant from the Center for Science, Technology, and Society.
- Laura Ellingson, Department of Communication, was awarded a Research Scholar Grant to assist her with her 1 course release on the topic : "Disciplinary Power, Technology, and Knowledge Production in Dialysis Care." She is expected to release her course Winter Quarter 2006.
- Daniel Klein and Fred Foldvary's co-edited "The Half-Life of Policy Rationales: How Technology Affects Old Policy Issues"
- Pedro Hernandez-Ramos' "If not here, where? Understanding teachers' use of technology in Silicon Valley schools"
