The Tech Museum Awards

Technology Benefiting Humanity
Sponsored by Applied Materials, Inc.

The Center for Science, Technology, and Society is a founding partner of The Tech Museum Awards, along with sponsor Applied Materials, Inc. In Silicon Valley where technology is considered a way of life, the awards were developed to recognize the need to bridge existing technology in emerging countries and emerging technologies in developed countries.

The Tech Museum Awards honor innovators and visionaries from around the world who are applying technology to profoundly improve the human condition in the categories of education, equality, environment, health, and economic development. Individuals, for-profit companies, and not-for-profit organizations are eligible.

The awards showcase their compelling stories and reward their brilliant accomplishments, and in so doing inspire global engagement in applying technology to humanity's most pressing problems by recognizing the best of those who are utilizing innovative technology solutions to address the most urgent critical issues facing our planet. The Center manages the judging process for the awards program. For the fifth year, an interdisciplinary team of academics and judges from Santa Clara University, has chosen from inspiring projects from around the world to find laureates who can and will make a difference in many lives. The Center is honored to be associated with the Tech Awards.
