Arrival at SCU
Reporting to Santa Clara University
Upon arriving at Santa Clara University, all new students, including transfer students, are required to bring the following documents to the Global Engagement Office in the first floor of Varsi Hall within 15-days of arrival (failure to do so will result in the termination of your F-1/J-1 student visa):
Change of status students will need to check in with a copy of the I-797A approval notice immediately upon receipt of the approval.
Please note that failure to check-in with ISS within 15-days of the begin date of classes will result in the termination of your F-1/J-1 student status. Remember, it is ultimately your responsibility to maintain your immigration status. Students transferring your SEVIS record from another school, please note that the transfer process is not complete until you check-in at ISS. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact International Students & Scholars in the Global Engagement Office at 408-551-3019.
International Student Orientation
International Student Orientation is mandatory for all new incoming international (F-1 and J-1) students. Topics covered during the orientation include requisite information for maintaining F-1/J-1 status and will assist international students with adapting to a new environment.
Note that there is a $125 orientation fee for Fall 2015 incoming graduate students only. The International Student Orientation is mandatory, and regardless of attendance, the orientation fee is automatically charged to your eCampus account. International undergraduate students will not be charged $125 for the orientation. However, the International Student Orientation is still mandatory for internationals undergraduate students.
