A short-term loan is not financial aid or a substitution for the need of additional financial aid. Loans are granted only in the event of an emergency and are not intended to cover tuition or unpaid balances to the University. These funds are limited and are approved for emergency use only. This loan is not to be used to replace financial aid. An emergency is defined as an expense incurred due to unforeseen circumstance, for example, a doctor bill, dental bill or car repair or a need for funds due to pending financial aid, for example, to pay rent or buy groceries.
