Alumni Update: Emily Sargent
University Name, Year Graduated: Santa Clara University, December 2003 Current Work / Volunteer position: Youth Minister for St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Vail, CO After graduating from SCU in December I took some time to figure out where I wanted to head next and what I wanted to be doing. I was offered a job to work as a youth minister in my hometown and started July 1. I love the work although I find it challenging to work for an institution that I constantly am questioning and disagreeing with. I plan to stay with my parents for a year and then move off to the Northwest for graduate school to get my Masters of Social Work and possibly a Masters of Pastoral Ministries. As of now though, the plans are in the making and anything is likely to change! |
