Alumni Update: Ryan BrennanSemester at Casa: Spring '04 Current Work/Volunteer (July 2005): I will be volunteering for the next year on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota (my home state) at Red Cloud High School, a Jesuit mission. I will be honoring the path that the esteemed Chris Wright treaded as a librarian, but thankfully I will also be teaching one or two classes of Spanish. The high school offers no foreign language (other than classes in their native Lakota) and so, although it is only one year, hopefully I will help some kids who have college aspirations by providing a Spanish class. And I'm going to participate in a lot of sweatlodges. |
