Alumni Update: Tom Hare

Casa Spring 2003
Saint Louis University, 2004

August 2005: Following a year of experimenting with illegal labor practices in Spain and New Zealand, I find myself back in El Salvador (and with two less countries I am welcome to return to).  Liz McDermott and I have founded and launched a non-profit organization to confront the educational and nutritional challenges in the central market area of San Salvador. The organization, ConnectEd International, seeks to provide opportunities in technology education and soy based nutrition at Centro Escolar Catolico Santa Luisa.

Pretending to be employed with Saint Louis University, Madrid Campus as the US-European Admissions Recruiter (aka traveling around on someone else's budget). Of course, I give both sides of the study abroad experience and encourage students to do a semester in Spain and another in El Salvador... I spend my mornings in Madrid sitting at a desk editing ESL textbooks, I'm not that good at it. Honestly, I spend most of my time online looking for good grad programs in Demography, any ideas?
