London Program - Peace & Conflict Resolution Option

SCU London

Peace & Conflict Resolution Option

Program Overview

In keeping with Santa Clara's commitment to educated solidarity and service to the global community, International Programs is pleased to announce a new emphasis in Peace & Conflict Resolution starting in Fall 2009 in London. Building on the existing partnership with the Foundation for International Education, the focus is on multi-cultures and matters of difference related to religion, gender, race, ethnicity and socio-economic class. A large part of the study will lay emphasis on practical components contained in field visits, workshops and peace memoranda, exposing students to global conflict scenarios and peace through mediation. Human resources and issues will be drawn not only from within the United Kingdom but from various agencies of the European Union. Field trips around London and a visit to the European Union are included.  No specialized visa is required for the Peace and Conflict Resolution option.
